We had a 6am start today. We were treated to a
Resonate tour by Jill to experience the sights, smells and sensations of the Ubud food market. We enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the early morning shoppers, buying their fresh food for the day. The only bargains we snapped were the ones on our cameras, but what a spectacular place to find inspiration for our day of painting.
Some very creative and individual works are emerging. The studio was a hive of activity all day. By the end of the day most of the paintings were completed. I am looking forward to showing off the finished pieces tomorrow.
We were also very privilege to have Made and Wayan, our artists in residence back in the studio again to show us how to paint in the traditional way.
Made our lovely chef/manager/walking guide/interpreter/tailor organiser….. Held a cooking workshop today. I was busy in the studio while that was happening, however I was lucky enough to score a plate of amazingly delicious food for lunch. I will put that activity on the list for next time.everyone had a fabulous time and now know that Made is a woman of many talents.
Made holding the cooking class.
The gorgeous garden at Lily Lane.
This afternoon was set aside for free time, some people headed off to see the sights, others had massages, some lay by their pools while others stayed in the studio to keep working on their paintings. I headed back to the studio for an hour to help anyone that needed me.
We topped off another amazing day by dining out at the lovely Bridges Restaurent. What a fabulous experience it was dining in the tree tops. The lights were shining up into the trees highlighting the rain forest. The food was sensational.
It’s time for a bit of quick preparation and then off to bed to rest up ready for another amazing day.
