Welcome to my first newsletter for 2015. I have a lot of exciting projects planned for the year ahead. Art classes will be starting soon and I look forward to welcoming my students from last year, along with new students who have decided to join us in the studio this year.
I am excited to welcome a new and very experienced art teacher, Bec Cameron to The Gables Art School. Bec will be running a series of art workshops for children throughout the year.
This year there will be some full day and weekend workshops covering a variety of art and crafting styles. Some of these include;
Making your own natural face and body products from items in your kitchen cupboard
Wooden instruments – made by carving and shaping a branch from a tree
There will also be many new and interesting products produced in my studio. Meanwhile I am happily painting commissions for the lovely people who have entrusted me to paint special pieces for them.
My favourite thing to do is to have you come into my studio to design your very own painting for your home or for a special present for a loved one. Last year I did paintings for graduations, Christmas presents, birthday presents and babies’ rooms. Please contact me if you have any special requirements.
If you need a gift or a painting, some information on art classes or just a chat, you are always welcome to come and visit my studio. Please get in touch first.
Love and peace,

I took this photo while walking on the beach a couple of days ago at Skene’s Creek, Victoria, Australia. It is of frothy water from the sea lodged in a small crack in the stone. This photo is my inspiration for 2015. Colourful, exciting, rugged outdoors mixed with the fragility of the sun reflecting off the frothy bubbles of the sea.
