After a quick check over and deciding that Betsy is absolutely perfect. A meeting is held (no minutes taken) to decide how best to load her. Some CRC is used to help loosen the jockey wheel holder. It had rusted solid after years of wind and rain while Betsy was waiting patiently for me under that old pine tree.
A quick measure confirmed one huge problem! Betsy’s wheel base is too wide for the trailer. Something Rob had been worrying about, since he found out the the big trailer he wanted had slipped out of his grasp.
A little help from the tractor.
A gently pep talk from me got him back on track. Betsy is coming home today. Somehow! So the decision is made to take the wheel off.I held my breath while the nuts were loosened. More CRC to the rescue.
Finally on safely and nice and straight, after 2 hours.
Thank you so much to my hubby Rob, our great friends Tim and Vick and Betsy’s neighbour Mo! The boys with Betsy.
Thank you Rob for finding Betsy. x
