The students have put the finishing touches on the paintings today. I am so impressed. Please come along tomorrow night to The Hamilton and Alexandra College to see their amazing paintings.
Today work began on the birds. Some tints were applied and also some inks were sprayed on. The birds are really standing out from the backgrounds now. I am really enjoying working with the students they are so engaged and focussed. Here is a peek at their progress.
The paintings are coming along nicely. Students have been using oil pastels, coloured paper and water soluble crayons to add some interesting effects. Some ‘close ups’ for you of their progress. There is some very interesting mark making happening.
Students have completed another layer on their canvases this week. This layer consisted of painting large blocks of colour. The original colours were mixed with white to create a tint. The colour wheeel was used to ensure that complimentary colours were painted near each other to maintain harmony in the paintings. I love watching the […]
